Wilf Taylor's Passage, upwards[edit | edit source]

Wilf Taylor's Passage starts as an ascending vadose passage. After a couple of minutes, a 2m climb to the right enters a higher level. Beyond, a passage leads off to the left; both routes unite in a chamber. The chamber is at the bottom of Double Decker Pot, a pair of climbs, each with an in-situ hand line (June 2016). The first climb ascends 3m to a traverse, followed by a further 3m climb up through a hole, entering a large chamber with a large pool. The second climb is 2m and undercut.

Above, is a very pleasant vadose passage, with short climbs and pools of water. After a few minutes, the junction with Cross Passage is met on a ledge to the left, where the passage opens out and starts to become more phreatic. [Continuing ahead, is a pleasant march along a large phreatic tube. The roof soon lowers to a sump.]

Cross Passage soon meets a junction.
