Mancunian Way, from Ease Gill Aven to Cornes' Cavern[edit | edit source]

From the top of Ease Gill Aven, a short low crawl over gravel leads to a junction. [To the right, a larger passage, past straws and stal bosses, leads to a choke.] To the left, clambering over boulders leads to a hole down through boulders into continuing passage. The passage traverses to the left of a hole in the floor, and leads to a route between boulders. A crawl over boulders leads to a descent between boulders, onto a mud slope descending into a chamber.

From the bottom of the chamber, a low crawl pops out, after a few minutes, in larger passage. [To the left, the rift soon closes down. Ahead is a dig.] The way on is to the right, past stacked spoil. Stooping passage leads to a low section. An easy crawl continues, before encountering boulder obstacles. A small chamber with stal bosses is reached. A crawl up between boulders enters a narrow rift between bedrock and a huge detached flake. The crawl suddenly pops out into Cornes' Cavern.
