Intercounty Passage, from Red Wall Chamber to Pippikin Streamway Choke[edit | edit source]

From the junction with Red Wall Chamber, Intercounty Passage continues as a flat-out crawl in water and mud. This passes a cross rift to the left [which ascends over boulders to a choke]. Ahead, the crawl gradually rises to stooping passage, and passes a slot on the right [leading to an aven]. Ahead, sideways walking, with some formations, leads to a junction with an inlet entering from the left.

Continuing downstream, is a mix of stooping and crawling. Soon the passage splits, with an obvious crawl above the streamway. [The streamway leads to the Pippikin streamway choke.] The way passes over holes back to the stream. After a couple of minutes of hands-and-knees crawling, a squeeze on the right is passed [which leads to a descent over boulders to return to the start of the Pippikin choke.] Very soon ahead leads to a 2.5m crawl, landing at the start of the Pippikin choke.
