Four Ways Flood-Escape Route

Four Ways, Flood-Escape Route[edit | edit source]

The route to Four Ways starts most of the way down the Stop Pot boulder slope, where a traverse leads into a hands and knees crawl. Alternatively, the crawl can be entered from an alcove further up the slope.

Following the crawl, after a few minutes, an oxbow goes off to the right, and soon rejoins, in a bouldery chamber. Squeezing under a boulder, or an exposed climb over, leads to the top of a route down between boulders: a broken 4m climb lands in the Wretched Rabbit streamway.

  • Downstream leads after about four minutes to the connection with County Pot: to the left leads to Poetic Justice, and to the right leads to Eureka Junction.
